RESOURCE OF THE MONTH

April | Staff Pick - Erin Pflum

I was first introduced to Lectio 365 back in 2020 through a podcast by John Eldredge. It was such a blessing in the midst of the stress and strain of Covid to be guided into a deeply formative time of prayer and meditation on God's word. Since then, most of my days begin and sometimes end with this devotional app. Each day's guided prayer and meditation are often springboards from which the Holy Spirit speaks, and they help me to enter each day from a place of union with Christ. It has become a vital spiritual practice for me as I grow in intimacy with the Lord.

HOW TO READ THE BIBLE FOR ALL ITS WORTH

This is an excellent introduction to the Bible and how to get the most out of your interaction with it. It is also very accessible. No matter your level of experience with the Bible, you are sure to glean new understanding from this book. It covers how to choose a translation, how to interpret biblical passages, and walks you through the various genres found in the Bible. You'll soon not only know the difference between, for example, wisdom literature and history, but also how to get the most out of your reading of each. I highly recommend How to Read the Bible for All Its Worth! It can be found here!
