A place where kids learn:
I am safe.
I am loved by God and others.

It’s not just babysitting—it’s soul care. Young kids are busy forming their first impressions about everything, including God. We want their first experiences to be positive ones that nurture their souls.

Sunday Mornings
Classes are available at 9 & 10:30 a.m. and are grouped by birthdates. Children stay in the same room for one year.

Class Names Child's Birthdate
Ladybugs (Rm 111E) Newborns - 10/1/2011
Dragonflies (Rm 113E) 10/1/2010 - 9/30/2011
Ducks (Rm 117E) 10/1/2009 - 9/30/2010

Curriculum
We use First Look Curriculum. First Look is a web-based curriculum that uses engaging activities to introduce pre-school children (ages one to five) to God. Wonder is God's fingerprint on our world. First Look helps children understand how they are part of that wonder.

Contacting Parents
We will contact parents after 5-10 minutes if a child is upset, via our text message system. Please select that option during check-in and set your phone to vibrate during the service.

Our Loving Teachers
A minimum of two screened ministry partners are present in each class to ensure proper ratios and supervision.

What should I bring?
Please bring a change of clothes for all children, infants through potty trained, as well as sippy-cups, bottles, pacifiers, and at least two diapers. Please do not bring gum, candy, toys or snacks from home (note exceptions below). Please remember to label everything.

Snacks
In The Cove, we provide Cheerios, Goldfish, Vanilla Wafers, Veggie Sticks and Water. Parents may send snacks from home if necessitated by allergy or nutritional needs, as long as snacks do not include nut products, candy or gum.

Diaper Changing and Bathroom Assistance
Children will have diapers changed and receive bathroom assistance as needed during their stay. If a child resists the volunteer’s assistance, we will not force them to comply. We will locate the child’s parents in these instances to provide diaper or bathroom assistance. Male volunteers are exempt from changing diapers or providing bathroom assistance.
