Five Commitments

At WaterStone, we are striving to help one another experience transformation so we can learn how to live and love like Jesus. We believe transformation is a central element in accomplishing our mission to impact the world and advance God’s Kingdom. That’s why we focus our ministry on five commitments that focus on discipleship, community, and outreach:

Reach – We are here to share the reality of Jesus with others, and that happens best in the context of relationships. Our hope is that every believer at WaterStone will see themselves as a missionary in their sphere of influence, building relationships with those who need Jesus and sharing their faith story as God leads.

Serve – We believe every person is gifted and has a passion where they can serve the Kingdom best, whether  inside the church or in the community. We encourage every believer to engage in acts of service that change our world.

Grow – Growth is a lifelong process of becoming more like Jesus. The Bible is key to our growth, but information by itself is never enough to change us on the inside. Transformation occurs as truth from the Scriptures is worked into our lives by the Holy Spirit through relationships in the context of life.

Belong – The Christian life cannot be lived alone. When we believe in Jesus, we are placed into a body, a community essential to our spiritual growth and development. We need each other in order to know God fully and to accomplish His mission on earth. Our hope is that every person at WaterStone will seek out opportunities to connect with other believers.

Worship – In our worship, we focus on declaring God worthy in every area of life and honoring Him with all we do. Worship is our community expression of our commitment to God’s glory and is key to our growth as we experience God’s heart together.
