Baptism

Here at WaterStone, we believe in baptism by immersion.  In addition to it being the method that Jesus and the early church was baptized, we think it gives the best picture of the events in which it symbolizes; Jesus' death, burial and resurrection to save us from our sins.  In immersion, the new believer is buried in the water and is raised out of the water.  This mode portrays the blessed events of Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

We offer a baptism class typically two weeks before the baptism celebration.  This is an opportunity for anyone who is interested in baptism to hear the church's beliefs, ask their own questions and have a chance to share their testimony.  After the class, anyone interested in baptism may be interviewed by a staff member and then once this is complete they'll be baptized at the next scheduled opportunity.

If you're interested in being baptized, our next Baptism Class is scheduled for Wednesday, October 13th from 6-9pm.
Our next Baptism Celebration will be at Bergen Lake on Sunday, October 24th during both worship services.
